Does anyone know about the cost or effectiveness of the reworked stock CV carb. by Dakota Kid? I was just looking at their site and wondered if anyone knew anything about them. Any first hand knowledge would be nice. Thanks. J.T.

They do a nice job, but you can get results close to what you get with them for about 10 bucks in jets and washers, on a street engine it's hard to justify the cost. You can get a Mikuni for what they get for the mods.

I got to agree with Hippo. I myself have done some mods to my own CV's with very good results. I'll sit next to a guy with a HSR42 carb on his ride and we can both wick the throttle at the same time, you cant tell a differance in responce. Only a dyno might be able to tell what a pro tune CV can do to a finely tuned CV by a non-pro. and with dyno varreing differances maybe not. The choice is yours and for the "bang for the buck" thats alot of cake for 1 HP (maybe).
