Getting ready to order up my exhaust. Just not sure whether to go with standard or performance. I like and want loud (had a RB racing lsr) on my night train. I guess before I drop the jack I would like some opinions and input from you guys. Can you change out the baffles in the event I get either or and am not happy and want to try the other? I was originally going to go with the performance but am slightly torn now. I am not a obnoxious guy reving and such and am always very considerate of my neighbors and neighborhood. Just like a nice loud rumble. That is my preference.

The D&D quiet baffle in my 2012 is a little louder than the quiet baffle in my wife's 2006. You can change baffles but they may be hard to get out after awhile. I change the luvered baffle to a quiet baffle in the 06 but it took some work to get it out. The quiet baffle has a nice rumble and is plenty loud. I think you'll like it.

I have the performance baffle in my 2010 FLHX after some mods. My previous was a Fatboy with a Thunderheader. Caged vehicles have problems seeing us so I wanna make sure I am heard. Only regret is being on the fence with next upgrade. I should have considered Borzilla....

Ran a D&D on my 07 FLSTF, it sounded good on my 103 build 575 Redshift cams and Baisley heads-
I am staying with mt V&H power duals and monster rounds on my 2011 FLHRC.

^^^ nice avatar. I am wondering what exhaust to go with too. I want something loud but I don't want to have to reinvent the wheel with the fuel injection. I'd like a loud, throaty sound.

I had a fatcat with the standard baffle. A couple of friends have the regular quiet baffle, not the performacne. The only real difference is that the regular baffle is wrapped and has a deeper, throatier sound than the standard.

I had the standard D&D on my 05 Road Glide and it was LOUD. The day I did my last saddlesore 1000 was enough to convince me something had to change 18 hours on the road with that pipe, and it took two days to get rid of the headache.

I knocked the baffle out for the quiet and picked up peace of mind and some torque.

Quiet baffle in my '04 98" TC. As said before, it is anything but quiet. It has a nice deep throaty, but not overly loud rumble. I like it. Albeit, it does need to be repacked.

Try looking into Frank Drago's Dragula 2/1 Exhuast. I'm running that on my 120R w/ghost pipe. He's offers various baffle sizes depending on your engine build and they're ceramic coated inside/out.

Didn't see the quiet baffle listed -- it tuned best on my 117" over the 3 baffles Steve (GMR) tried on the dyno. By 'best' I mean best tq (130ish) curve to the left and going out smoothly for 2500rpms or so.... QB worked for the BMotor.

So what would be best for a 2012 street glide with a 107ci pushing 115-120 HP?? The $625 for price is just the header? Do they make the ghost pipe you speak of? I want all black. How is the sound? Thanks.

I would suggest calling Frank Drago regarding the correct baffle size for your build. The $625 price includes 3 stepped ceramic coated in & out head pipe along with the multi-slash tipped exhaust, they offer a seperate ghost pipe. Yes he does offer them in black. As far as the sound, I running a 120R and the pipes freaking roar when I get on the throttle.

I'll get ahold of him tomorrow. Is there a wait time on build or does he have them built and ready to go? What is the difference between the ghost pipe and the regular? Thanks for all the info. I am big on sound and i want low deep and loud.

The ghost pipe doesn't have a baffle and it terminates under the frame. I believe my wait time was less than 10 days; he's selling the **** out of these pipes on another HD forum. Judging by your build they should be loud; they are at least 2x louder than the Fat Cats IMO. I'll try to post a video tomorrow.

I understand your dilemma. Just keep in mind a D&D and a RB sound nothing alike. The Dragos probably sounds more like the RB. I have never heard another exhaust similar to a D&D. Let me see you're are from wis and getting a 107 from someone that is telling you will be north of 115-120hp, hmmmmm, why don't you just get one of his 2-1's?

I already talked to him about the Jack pot pipe he makes. He also sells rhinehart and vance and hines. The jackpot is not the loud I am looking for. He personally told me that. I think this Drago pipe may be for me. I like something different too not the same crap everyone else is running.

Wrapped louvered core quiet baffle here, sounds great.

Of course the older version like I have is totally different from the new version on the new bikes.
