Prior to sending out cylinders for boring, both were marked with marker on proper location "frt" and "rear" orientation. After cylinders came back, machine shop forgot to remark cylinders. It seems that both are the same best as I can tell. A cylinder will fit in either the frt or rear location of block. The manual states of a marking on the cylinders. Mine has no indication of location. Does it really matter as long as the proper pistons stay with the matched cylinder. Thanks for your help

You'll be fine, They are the same. You would mark them to put in their original locations because of wear. Now that they're bored, they are the same as far as bores go, so they are safe in either position.
