I've lightly bored and smoothed the inlet of my CV40 carb, installed the Thunderjet kit and slide, installed their spring, needle with the clip in position #5, (per the directions), upped the slow jet to a 48 and the high speed to a 200. I'm running the SE 2 into 1 Pro pipe with no baffle, the Super Sucker/K&N air cleaner. Heads are SBC Scottsman and Andrews 37G's, SE 6200 module and I added the SE 44mm intake.

Any other baseline adjustments you could recommend? The same set-up, (with the exception of the needle clip in position #4), ran strong in the stock TC88, no popping or coughing, idle mixture screw out 1 3/4 turns. I always figured the needle needed to be #5 as the bike seemed to flatten out through the mid-range.

Any advice would be appreciated.

Thanks,
DLR
