Yup, I saw the exact same paint on a RK without the windshield today up my neck of the woods. - Nice paint! The picture does it little justice. It looks even better in person!!!

yep, stock handlebars. I've done the Stage 1 breather kit + reflash and have the FLT screaming eagle slip-ons.

One downer is the paint on my rear fender is "lifting off" around the gippy where the seat is attached. Upon closer inspection, the same thing is happening around the tail-light. Its not obvious unless you look closely. But WTF, they charge about $5K for that HD custom paint set.

I took it to the dealer, they immediately recognized that the paint hadn't been allowed to dry completely. They also said "bring it back when you can leave it for a month". Yeah right.

I plan on riding it for a couple more months and I'll let them have it in December.

I don't blame you. Give it to them when you plan on slowing down for the x-mas season! Five grand is a bit much for a paint job. Nice paint though. I don't usually like flame jobs, but that is a nice color combination and not too much flame. Best Reguards, J.T.

Well (looking at the positive side) at least they said they would take care of fixing paint. Dang it, I'd be rather tee-'d off about paying that much money and finding what you did.
Drop the bike off for a month? What a racket. Can free bike rentals / loaners be discussed with such a long time in their shop?

wyo dude, nice bike!!! If I sound biased, I guess I am. I've got the same paint, only in green. I had the 95" Stage II kit w/ 211 cams put in. Hooker true duals give it a real rumble. Runs like a raped ape*. So far I haven't had any problems w/ the paint. Hopefully the dealer will get it fixed for you. What are they gonna do, send it back to the factory? For 4200.00 they should take care of it.

You're right, it is alot of money for a paint job. I actually had ordered a different bike, the one I bought had been on the dealer's showroom floor for six months. One day they marked it down, knocked $1700 off the paint jog and waived delivery & set-up fees (~$800 as I recall).

So I bought it

Thanks for the complement.

These bikes are "custom" in that they are hand painted and available in limited numbers. Its tough to see, but theres a little HD logo on the gas tank near the seat that says 181/200. They are not custom in the traditional sense (1 of a kind). Still pretty cool though
