old style and new style thought I saw something about them??
cutting the rivets off but can't remember why??
do I use copper coat sealer on these gaskets??

Install them dry, no sealers...no need to cut the rivets off with stock cylinders.

Cometic changed the design at least two years ago and moved the location of the rivets away from the pushrod tube area. They should no longer interfere with any parts of the cylinders or heads. In case you have the old style, just cut the rivets off after installation. Some wise man in a New Mexico desert hide out told me..........
I only had this issue with my first 95 build in 2003, ever since all the gaskets I've seen in the indie shop are new design.

No you should be fine they did alter the gasket a bit but then again no telling how old the stock is that you got.
