Remove the spark plugs, connect them to the leads and ground them on the head bolt{s} for that cylinder. Then crank the ENGINE while looking at the gap of the plugs, there should be a good blue/white spark.

I've found the ignition module is usually the culprit. Replace it with a S/E module {H-D P/N 32979-98A} or one of the others on the market. -2$en#e-
