Installed Chubby 575's on my Street Glide this weekend. I switched out the stock riser bushings to the upgraded version which are a bit thicker/taller than stock. I have always done this on my bikes as it handles the heavier bars better and cuts down on the vibration. Now, because the risers are a bit taller than stock, it raises the handlerbars in the risers about 1/8" or so. This in turn has taken away ANY space between the bottom of the radio and the top of the risers. Everything fits but with NO space what-so-ever between the radio and handlebar clamps. They are now touching. I have not closed up everything yet and gone riding (still doing other work on bike).

My question is: do I need space between the radio and handlebar clamp?? Will it definately cause CD skipping because of the touching of the radio and vibration?? Anyone have any experience with this?? Thanks.......

I wouldn't think so, these beasts buzz and vibrate enough as it is.
