Just having thoughts on removing the cat converter on my 11 FLHTK. Bike runs fin, just heard I could cool down the area below passanger floorboards and increase a little bit of torque. Any thoughts. Americanustom has one ready to go for $169.00 exchange. Good bargan

2011 FLHTK - took the stock head pipe off and drilled out the cat converter with a 1" masonry bit purchased at Home Depot for $20. Had it dyno and saw a small increase in horsepower and torque. Also have SE tuner, SE air cleaner, and Basani Mufflers. I can't say for sure about the cool down because I drilled the cat out a few days after I purchased the bike.

It sounds better, deeper, more like a Harley should sound. The cat converter is like a plug - the damn thing seemed so solid it is hard to believe the exhaust could pass through it.
