Hi everyone my name is Bryan and i am new to this site. I have a 2000 Harley Davidson Heritage Softail, my carburetor is leaking gas from the front of the carburetor into my air filter. Can anyone help me out please and Thank You.

Usually caused by the needle not sealing in the seat. May be foreign material. You can pull the bottom of the carb off with 4 screws, check the bowl for debris and check the needle looks ok. Might want to change the fuel filter and the hose.

Turn the fuel OFF, run the engine unti it quits {including the choke}, turn the fuel ON and start the engine. This may wash any debris past the needle valve so it will seat properly.


...check the tank vent is not blocked. This will pressurize the carb when the engine is hot.

Hey everyone i have another question about my 2000 heritage softail. I want to run a 21 inch spoke wheel on the front, should i use a 21x3.5 or is there another size. Also do i need to change anything. Thanks
