I keep hearing not to bother getting a bigger carb unless you up your displacment but what if your engine has been ported, cammed, piped, high flow filter, high compression piston, and bored .40 over. Would getting my carburator bored out or getting a bigger carburator help me on the top end? Low end is nice but not really a concern for me.
Also, my redline hasnt moved any and is still the same as stock, could rev higher with the titanium valve springs but not worth the risk.

All TC's can do 6200 rpm's in stock trim if a new ingiton is used. Go higher on the "a" motors with forged piston & such to the tune of 7200.
Sounds to me like you need a HSR-42, or trick out your stock CV, your choice. Inless you plan on getting a new butterfly dont port the stock at the butterfly seat, but you can open up the front & last 1/3 for sure.
