Why not a new one?

I was sniffing around for cam plates too a while back. I wanted to have one setup and ready to go with my cams, Baisley spring, gears, etc. so I could just pop it in when I do my cam swap. Since the cam plate is critical to the oil system, I got scared off of a used one and bought a new one. I think they are a little over $100. There really is no way to be sure the cam plate was not removed due to oiling problems. If you get one be careful.

Where is Perryman? I am in Reisterstown.

BaggerDave,

Thanks for the heads-up. Where did you buy yours for $100+. Not a bad price, considering. These things are junk to begin with. Mine has what appears to be a crack in one of the oil passages, and one of the torx head screws (that retains the bearing retainer plate), snapped off and has been in the bottom of the cam chest.... Lucky it didn't find its way into the oil system or chains. Anyhow, I need a new one it sounds like. (Would appreciate the name of where you got yours.)

Good to hear we're neighbors here in MD. I'm in Northern Harford Cty. on the Bush River.

Thanks for your reply. Hopefully I'll find one of these plates. Everything else is done with the 95" install. Guess I'll just do some other re-assembly stuff till I get the plate.

Thanks,

Dave

I don't think you have the correct P/N

The correct p/n for the cam support plate assembly is 25267-99b. Your number did not come up in the parts lookup. The part number above is $136 from Zannoti Motors. Jenni at Benjy's may have similar or better pricing. Try her at 304-523-1340. PLEASE verify the part number before ordering. If you got the part number off the casting it is not necessarily the correct number for the assembly.

I have a stock plate that only had about 1000 miles when I took it out and went 95" and high compression with a Delkron that I will sell you for $50+ shipping (should'nt be over $5) If you are interested

David,
You're absolutely right. Zanotti's confirmed what you said. It's on back order until at least early Feb.
