has anyone seen these at a rally or have a friend with one? The dealer here in NC lives about 2 hours from me and I could go there Friday and get the butt buffer pad installed in my touring seat from the fxdx-t. He says it is a better pad than Pro Pad or a Saddleman seat with gel. I had a Mustang Touring seat on my Sportster and thought it was wonderfull but I'd like to try a gel pad, excuse me, a viscoelastic polymer.

I bought one for my son's Nighthawk. It was OK, not like getting a new seat, however. When we sold the NH we put it on my wife's Savage. She likes it.

Butt buffers on top of foam seats don't work (either on top of or under the vinyl seat cover. If you're sitting on steel, the buffer would be an improvement, but since you already have a seat, you won't feel an improvement w/ a buffer installed. Also, they soak up heat from sitting in the sun, and can be quite uncomfortable in the summer. The best comfort for long distance riding that I've had is from Mustang touring seats.
