my plan to acquire a used Sportster fell through :censored: & I am keeping my Buell Blast and I have a few ???'s about lubrication;

I have been told that the Blast's thumper engine is 1/2 of a v-twin...is this a proper description?

what is/are good products to use in the engine & primary/tranny?

are the wheel axles sealed?

thanks

Not sure what a Buell Blast Thumper is, but all new Buells come factory filled with Amsoil synthetics. I may be wrong, but I thought the Buell engines were the same or very close to the sportster engine and in that case you are looking at using a 20w 50 in both holes.

to clarify the model is offically called the Buell Blast P3 and the 'thumper' nickname is derived from the fact that it is a single cylinder engine that feels like it 'thumps' when it vibrates at low RPM's...

thank you for answering

Like other sportsters, it uses a common primary and engine oil tank (the frame) you use 20/50 in it, but make sure you use something without friction modifiers to protect the clutch.

the blast is based on the sportster engine, with the rear cylinder removed.
