I am expecting to do the first replacement of the brake pades on my Classic soon. How long should it take to replace the front? and rear brake pads?

Also, do the Lyndell(sic) pads really make a difference?

Thanks for the help.

Lots of people like the Lyndell pads, I think I'm trying them next. Do you have a factory manual, you should have one. An hour give or take.

7K miles.

My guess is the rears are good. Front replacement = about 30 minutes one beer or, 20 minutes no beer.

would depend on if you are mechanically challenged.

less than half an hour either axle assuming you're not MC,have tools and parts ready.

I read the manuel last night. It says that the resivour(sic) top needs to be removed, is this the case?
Thanks

Yes, while collapsing the pistons the fluid returns and with the cover off you will also see if you need to add brake fluid. If you must add make sure it is the proper type.
