I remember reading about someone was experimenting with blocking off the left side of E-Glide pipes by welding a plug into the "Y" pipe, effectively making them into 2 into 1's.

Can't remember the outcome - good or bad

I'm thinking of this as my exhaust system is all apart in the basement.

Any of youse guys have any thoughts on this? I'd like to get some V&H Pro Pipes, but don't have the extra $4C's right now.

It works, but you have to grind out the protrusion in the Y pipe and it tends to work better with more free flowing canisters. One SE canister may not be enough. They can be tuned on the dyno by drilling a increasingly larger hole in the plug but start very small. Without a dyno it's best to forget the hole.

Thanks for the insite Hippo, I was hoping you had knowledge on this one. I'm just gonna have to make a trip out to AZ to buy you a beer, my friend.
