Bike with High Miles

Why would I want to stay away from a bike with what I think are high miles? Looking at a 94 Heritage with 42,000 miles in astetically perfect shape. What might be wearing out that would cost me big bucks?:dunno:

NOTHING! It's just barely broken in. Evo bottom ends are solid, if the bike looks perfect, the owner has taken care of it. Might need to freshen up the top end but thats $3-400. If you like it and the price is right, BUY IT!! If it's really nice, maybe 12k but that would be absolute tops for a mint 12 year old evo in the dead of winter but, probably closer to $9500 is where I would expect to see tha price on it this time of year and with the milage. There's unfortunately a big glut of used bikes on the market so make sure you get what you want, alot of GREAT deals to be had out there!

Average mileage for a motorcycle is 5K per year, so your Heritage is just about right.

If the price is right, go for it. ;)
One of my bikes is an 88 flhs with 68k. Just recently got a noisy lifter(or something- not a wrench) so had the top done. other than that just maintenance.
