When riding, my 06 Street Bob will "shut off" for a slight second before firing back up and jerking hard due to where my throttle was when it shut off. Not sure if this is a bad battery... Any info??

Newer Harley are doing the same thing. Recall on bcm. Not sealed correctly from Harley. Water problems. Rode with a person on Saturday. Same thing happen to their 07 street bob. Wouldn't restart. Gage said the bike was locked. Had to get fod out of rear bag of the bike. Then the security system unlocked this 07 street bob. Bike restarted and the owner rode all day with no problem.

I had the same problem with a 2005 Ultra Classic. Yesterday I was coasting up to a red light and the engine shut off. I popped the clutch in an attempt to restart while still moving about 5 mph, but it didn't restart. So while sitting at the light I hit the start button and it restarted fine and ran perfectly the rest of the day. This is the first time this engine has ever done that and I really don't want a repeat during a slow speed turning maneuver. I realize an intermittant thing like this is hard to track down, but does anyone have any suggestions where to start looking for the cause?

On my 2000 FXST it was the main circuit breaker going bad. Bike would die intermittently then fire back up. Usually before I even came to a complete stop. I also swapped in new battery cables at the same time, when I cut the insulation off the originals the cables were corroded underneath.
