Finally, my bike came in today. I called to see if it was here. Took the salesman forever to get back to the phone. He says " Yeah there is an 883 Custom here but I'm not sure if it's yours." I told him it better be. I was first on the list and have a $500 deposit on it. The guy I've been dealing with was off today so will go in tomorrow to drop off some grips. Has anyone or everyone put on their own pegs and shifter. Wasn't sure because of the locknut, but will give it a try if others have.

shifter pegs are lock-tighted on with medium strength from the factory. A good pair of vice grips will get them off. Be sure to red-lock tight them off or they will vibrate loose down the road somewhere.

The shifter is relatively easy to change as well, it sits on a spline. Just remove the allen heads and it slides right off.

Assume you are changing these out immediatelY? Enjoy the new ride.
