whats the best stuff to use?
thanks
I also am interested in this subject, as I recently washed my bike (yesterday) and it was filthy, literally looked like I used it for offroading, except without the clumps of mud. I took someone's advice on here and used WD40 to get rid of the dirt on the cylinder fins, and it worked awesome, but due to water restrictions I couldn't wash the WD40 off properly as I can't use the hose, so I went for my dry-off ride and when I parked it she smoked real bad.

Try Pig Spit as it works great on black wrinkle paints. Works well on chrome too. If you are lucky to find it in a Walmart they sell it for $8.33 a 16oz aerosol can. Dealers get around $12.00.

PigSpit has to be the best product for all the textured painted surfaces.
Easy to apply, and lasts a goos long time.
