If you really have the "race" ignition, ie with 10 deg retard, you have too much ignition, that combo would run better with the performance 5 deg retard one, in particular with the lower squish height.
Some of the new fully programmable ignitions have gotten good revievs. This stuff is like everything else, you want to run the least you can get away with, not unlike overcarbing the bike.

The SE programmable ignition is probably not as flexible as the fully programmable aftermarket ones, but by the same token they make it less likely to make a mistake. The fully adjustable ones are better left to professional tuners that among other things have the proper equipment.
