Bassani Mufflers $140 and Baffles $70
First up is a set of 4" straight cuts with 2.5" baffles. These are 8 years old and I'll describe them as good, bad, and ugly. The good is that these worked well for the past eight years and the engine pulled a 108TQ/104HP with them in a 95" TC on my 2004 Road King. I got a lot of compliments on the look and sound of these. They sound low and loud. The bad is that I repacked the baffles before last season and the baffles were a real bitch to get back in. One friend told me he heard a whistle while he was behind me although I've never heard it. I also noticed that the copper wire I used to hold the packing in is loose once I took the mufflers off. I never heard the loose wire while riding though. The ugly is that I noticed some surface rust spots on the bottom side of the mufflers after I took them off. With the mufflers on with saddlebags I never noticed the rust spots.
I don't remember the original part number of these but I checked the Bassini website and the part number that matches is FLH521L.
I changed mufflers this season and planned to sell these for $200 but since i noticed the loose packing wire and surface rust on the bottoms I'm just looking for $140 (via USPS MO or Paypal) shipped in the lower 48. If you are local to the western Chicagoland area I will sell them for $125 CASH if you come pick them up. I took plenty of pictures, below.
Next up is a set of 2.25" baffles for Bassani mufflers. These are the long baffles that fit the longer 4" mufflers that stick out past the wheel (505, 517, 521, etc). These were used for one season only. There is no packing, just the baffles. $70 shipped or $60 face-to-face. The original cost was about $120.
Post an "I'll take it" if you want either one.
