I would like to get another bike in the spring, would use it around town and for some mountain roads (Angeles Crest for those from SoCal). Had a Honda F4i (600cc) sportbike and hated the riding postion. Have a BMW f650gs, and its ok,, but no power. Kinda like the Triumph Tiger (3 cylinder 950cc or so) but seat height is like 31+".

Sat on the new Buel XB9S, and it seemed pretty good. I am somewhat familiar with Buel, but have never followed specific models. I have a sense that they have had(?) reliability problemms and have so-so resale. Any ideas on where I could read up on prior models (Cyclone,Lightning, Thunderbolt, etc), maybe old road tests?, or other comments/views would be greatly appreciated.

Would aprreciate comments from current/prior owners.

I currently have an 02 king and do not plan on selling it.

thx, greg

Enjoy my Heritage, enjoy my Cyclone M2. They complement each other well. Early Buells had teething problems but my recent year Cyclone has been a problem free hoot... great performance, handling, ergos... with a bellowing exhaust note ;) .

I particularly like how Buells chart their own course. Not a me-too. I have, er, a collection of rides, and surprisingly nothing draws a second look or walkaround traffic like the Buell... not that this matters of course  . The Buell may not have the hyper performance specs of other makes, but you know, the Buell has waaaaay more power than needed or desired for public roads and streets. It makes my Heritage look like its running on one cylinder.

Anyway, Buell specific forums may be worth a visit...
