I am getting old and I want to hear my radio instead of my pipes.

I am currently running V&H Dresser Duals with V&H Ovals, K&N high flow air cleaner and a PCIII.

My 2006 Road King runs great.

If I remove the Ovals and put the stock mufflers back on will I need to adjust the PCIII? Will I lose performance?

Thanks

You might consider a pair of hogtunes speakers as an option. $100 bucks and I can hear my tunes at 85mph no problem...

You will lose performance. The only way to quiet it down and keep the performance is to use bigger muffs like the S&S SPOs. they also have an insert that bolts on or off that will quiet it further.

Another thing most don't realize is thatt the muffs on the bagger (most) are for 1340-1440 CC. If you have gone bigger, the muffs are to small.

You could also consider headphone/earplugs. I use Etymonics ER-6's. Cuts 35db, so wind noise is gone and I can hear my tunes crisp and clear. And I can still hear the rumble of my pipes and surounding vehicles etc.
