According to the report, Arkansas Razorbacks Head Coach Petrino, who owns four motorcycles including a Harley Davidson, and has been riding since he was 10 years old, went down in a turn and laid the motorcycle down on its left side while sliding off a rural, two-lane highway about 20 miles southeast of Fayetteville. Petrino wasn't wearing a helmet, was hospitalized with 4 broken ribs and a cracked neck vertebra, but is now ambulatory.

His passenger walked away, apparently.

Media reports the accident happened near the town of Crosses on a road popular with motorcyclists.

Petrino said "wind and sun" caused the accident.

Huh? Maybe he didn't see the curve until too late and came in too hot?

I'm wondering if there was an ethical violation regarding an employee, or is this about special clauses in his contract regarding his sexual behavior. The article seems to indicate it was about special clauses in his contract. If that is so, I have a problem with those clauses. At this level, I think his private life should remain his private life. Others might disagree with me but I think there is too much interest to what is happening to people in the bedroom. Let him, his wife and anyone else involved work out whatever arrangements work for them.

That is correct. And at the same time, the University of Arkansas should be called out for getting involved in private bedroom politics.

Everyone jumping to conclusions, I'm 51 and my riding partner is 24, and she is pretty cute, not a beauty queen but not bad at all, i didnt crash this past weekend on a 400 mile ride with her, what does the age really have to do with crashing a bike?

It's not the age, it's the relationship, both personnel and working, he most probably has a "morals" clause in his contract.

Most people don't know this, but 77% of all single vehicle motorcycle accidents (meaning, no other vehicles were involved except the rider) were the result of the rider failing to negotiate the curve.

Thus, what happened to Coach Petrino is a hell of lot more common than you think.

As for the 24 year old passenger, that he failed to tell the press about, please. The last time I trailed a woman half my age I damn sure was trying to get laid!
