I have a 1999 fatboy being delivered from florida to virginia right now. the bike is basically stock with screamin eagle pipes. I have heard these pipes and I must say I am not really impressed with them. I am not too worried about performance, while sound and looks are a large priority. I was thinking about V&H Longshots. Are these most likely some of the loudest pipes I can get while also getting good looks and the availibility of putting the baffles in for long trips? I want this thing to be LOUD! Thanks

I ride a FI heritage w/ long shots and stage one with breather. I love the sound they are not the very loudest(still wake the neighbors) but they sound damn good. But if you take the baffles out it gets some what louder but it has a horrid sickly sound to them. Besides with the baffles out there is a major drop in power.

I don't have my Harley yet (it's on order) but I attend Chapter meetings here in my area. A lot of riders have the V&H shortshots or longshots on their bikes. As a person just standing around (looking & listening) I think the pipes sound real good.

i recommend the bigshot longs, if you are into the longs like i am. they come with a hidden crossover, are 1/4" bigger dia. than the longshots, and come with billet tips. they are pricy at $549.99, but my dealer cut me a deal and i got em for $467. they are awesome sounding!
