I am wondering if anyone has a softail in the factory custom color: Jake Blues and Elwood Blues. It was a custom color for the 08-09 IIRC model year. I have only seen a Electra in it. I am not sure what other models where painted this color.

Thanks

They offered that color for the '07 FLSTF Fatboy... that was my number one choice when I bought mine, but I only found one available at the time and it was from one of the very high-priced stealers in Southern California who was unwilling to come down to a reasonable cash price.

The bike I ended up with was my fourth color choice for that year model, but after visiting 7 or 8 dealers it was the only dealer willing to come down to the price I wanted to pay, and the other bikes they had were farther down on my selection list. I spent a lot of time playing hardball with the various sales persons, and had done my homework and was prepared with all the supporting printouts. I was up front and told each sales person that I wasn't going to play the haggle or back-and-forth games and didn't want to waste either of our time. I was looking for a specific model (FLSTF) with certain color choices, and had a specific upper limit I was willing to pay. Most were good, and a couple I was able to walk out a couple of minutes after talking with the sales person or sales manager. I was pissed when I finally left Skip Fordyce (Riverside) HD, as the good looking saleswoman wasted two hours of my time for nothing, as they weren't going to come close and I wasn't going to budge. They were able to supposedly find one with the J&E Blues paint somewhere in the network, but it was going to cost nearly $5k more than I was willing to spend.

I got mine for $3k less than the next lowest dealer - plug here for Pomona Valley HD.

Sorry for the long history - hit a hot button I suppose! :D

Great color scheme though, and one of my all-time favorites!

Quarterly colors are finally going away after years. Just a couple of metal flake paints for 2013. Most dealers avoided these paint schemes because of the cost above a two-tone paint scheme. Only certain models came in quarterly colors each year. I sold a VROD in the Jake and Elwood.

I have a 2007 FXSTC...or at least I think I do. Haven't heard from the insurance company yet. On fathers day weekend, a 16 year old girl made a left turn in front of me, and sent me over the bars, and into her wind shield. The front end is screwed, but I don't know about the frame yet, so we'll see. I know this, in an effort to gear up for a battle with the adjuster, I called Wisconsin. There were only 239 bikes in that color scheme that year. 234 in the U.S.A., 3 in Canada, and 2 are unknown.

Here's the bike as I got her last year, with a little less then 6000 miles on her, with the spoke front wheel, and the staggered side by side pipes, and shortly after, with a set of Sampson ripsaws, and a thunder star front rim.

I have a 2007 FXSTC in the color...or at least I hope I do. I was in a wreck Fathers day weekend, and I'm not sure if the insurance company is going to total it, or fix it. Here are a couple of pics as she was when I got her, and the last one is how she looked after the front rim, and pipes were changed.

I called Harley, in Wisconsin, apparently they produced around 13,000 bikes in the color, and 239 were FXSTC's. 234 in the U.S.A., and 3 in Canada, plus 2 elsewhere.

I was on e-bay a couple of days ago, there were a couple of bikes on there, 2 Fatboys and something else I can't remember.
