We got 2 inches. I wasn't quite ready for Winter. I got the mower winterized with a fresh oil change and a wash yesterday. I haven't done the MC yet. Hopefully I'll get another decent day to get it out and warm it up enough to change all the fluids before it goes to sleep.

We may get a snow shower or 2 in the morning, but if we do, I don't see any of it sticking anywhere below 4,500 ft.

Last night on my security cameras it look like a hell of a snow storm, you could barely see anything thru all the snow and sleet, walked to the back door and looked out, didn't see any snow lol just a fine mist.

But it got cold and windy last night.

Right now it is about 70 as I sit on the back porch. By this afternoon it will drop 30° with a 1" rainstorm coming our way. Cold as sh!t all week with the high in the 40's. Time to try my birthday gift from me to me a full helmet. I got one of those jobbers that the front flips up so all can see my handsome face.

Still not used to "living" for winter in Florida yet.... I forget that most of the US is hunkering down for cold, wet and snow... Here, we FINALLY got some cooler weather, 70 - 80's..... REALLY tired of hot humid air......
When I was watching the packers game the snow caught me off guard... OH ****, its snowing....LOL

My favorite time of year, is anytime not hot in Florida. I do miss the north and winter and everything else. I am hear because it's most cost effective. I ride to keep sane and enjoy it as much as I can.

Stay warm and safe my northern friends. :coffee: 🍻

I dòn't mind winter but it lasts too long and at times is too harsh here. Two or three months would be nice.
October nights begin to get cool, a lot of riders put their bikes up mid to late month.
Nov and Dec begin winter. An occasional short ride isn't unheard of.
Jan and Feb are brutal. Temps often near zero, overcast sky obscure sun.
March and April begin to warm a little. Ground frost thaws. Hearty souls get occasional short ride in.
Those that put their bikes up in October shake 'em out in May to share the roads with construction crews that have been unable to work on the roads since November.

Around 16 to 18 F all day yesterday, and around 4 to 6 inches of snow on the ground. Supposed to warm up into the 30's today so I need to get the snows on my car after work. Too cold last night to be outside to swap them.
All this talk about snow I forgot about snow tires. I had some that had little nails around the tread once, didn't see any difference in traction from the ones that didn't have them. I quit buying snow tires with my first front wheel drive car. I wanted something that was good on gas for the 22 mile hour and a half drive to Manhattan. A Ford Escort hatch back it was. The first night with the new car was a blizzard. I drove around cars that were stuck on I-280 heading home to West Orange. My brother said do I have snow tires? Nope sure don't.

I moved here in 89. The Atlantic County police suggested I live in another state.lol. Sold my Cathhart suit and snowblower, gave away Teflon shovels as I was moving to sunny NC. Hurricane Hugo came that October then 2 ice storms and a blizzard. Oh well. On the whole I get snow every 10 yrs. Being retired if bad weather arrives I stay home.
