I got one of the first V-Rods to come to Canada and 9000 kms later, I love it more every time I ride it. If you dont like people coming up to you and drooling over your bike and asking you questions about it, dont buy one! I put a set of Samson Long Cannons, a sport low windshield and chrome belt guards and everywhere I go someone always checks out my bike. The only thing I would change on the bike is a smaller front pulley and add a 6th gear. Those are very minor nictpicks though. Buy one! You will love it! I cant see myself every going back to an old 88 motor. In fact, I just sold my Ultra Classic because it was just sitting in my garage collecting dust!
