I have always wanted a Harley, and Saturday my dreams came true when I was able to purchase a 2000 Sportster XLH 883. It is a great bike, and I have had a lot of fun with it already. I had a Honda and a Kawasaki years ago and then didn't ride any for a long time. Typical story I guess, you stay busy working and raising your family and don't have the time to do too much else.

I have enjoyed reading the postings on this board, and they helped me a lot in deciding what bike to buy. I plan to ride the Sportster for a few years, and then get a dyna or a softail if all goes well.

Glad you found us; if you have been away for a while you may want to look into the MSF course. It's a great good course and if you are like me I was surprised at al the things I either never thought about or things I had forgotten. Biggest thing is to be safe out there; you have to look out for yourself. Again welcome and look forward to your posts.
