'97 flhtc fairing ground

I am wondering where the fairing grounds to the bike. My oil pressure gaugei is reading 10 psi lower that it what it really is. I know this by hooking a test gauge to it. Also volt gauge is reading low, I have 13.5 volts at the battery when running and the gauge only reads 12 volts. When using turn lights the gauge lights all dim when the signal flashes. Turn lights operate ok and cancel as they should. This all sounds like a poor ground to me, any one agree or disagree?

The fairing is made of plastic, it is not a ground.

Each of those components has its own ground wire (Black wire).

Check the ground studs at the frame.

Remove and clean the terminals on both battery cables, and the surfaces they contact.

How old is the battery?

The studs on the frame is where I'm wondering where they are, under outer fairing, or some other place.
They are shown on the wiring diagram I linked to...

I'm not good at wiring, I looked at the diagram and it looks to me like the grounds are in front of the battery. I took the wires off of the stud and cleaned them and put diaelectric grease on them then put them back on and made sure they were all tight. No differance is noted in the results. The battery is a year old and starts it fine. I have a '97 ultra also, maybe try the battery from it and see.
