fixing to use kit to rejet carb. , kind of confused on part about the raising of needle jet, the kit came with 3 washers . the instructions say to put washers on top of needle jet, may need to use washers for adjustment...., wouldn't you put washer under needle to richen?

The washers need to be on the needle to keep it from moving back and forth in the slide. The normal position would be for the washers to be in top of the needle as a baseline position. If you then want to richen the needle you would put one washer on the bottom between the needle and the slide but you still have to put the other two on top, and so on, and it will progressively make the needle richer until you have them all on bottom.

If it is a Dynojet needle you would adjust the needle position with the C clip and use the washers on top, but if you wanted to set the needle in between two grooves you would move one washer below and again leave the other two on top.

thanks, the directions that came with kit weren't that clear about the placement of the washers.
by the way , on this bike , is it normal for your teeth and eyes to viberate a little going 70plus mph...haven't ridden a bike in 25 years(used to have a 1979 sportster) i do remember some viberation but when your 25 who cared.
