can any one tell me for sure if a 70 tooth final drive from an 06 dyna, 6 speed will fit properly and line up ok on an 07 Ultra, and replace the 66 tooth to get some gear back ( to 2.95.) the 2.79 is just too tall for me. i am only looking for small gain 150 - 200 rpm @ 70 mph i've done the math, it's what i want, i just don't know if it will fit and work, ( belt change also ) a 32 tooth comp. gear would also do it but no one makes it, only a 30 ( too much ).that i know of. any ideas would be welcome. thanks much THEDRIVER

Why not the '06 belt too? Wouldn't that all fit?

I don't know?
Does the 06 touring chassis have 70, 34 pulley gearing?
To the best of my knowledge, yes. '07 is the first year for the 6 speed, and '08 has the IDS that is only retro-fittable to '07. The IDS is 66 teeth.

Folks I know with the IDS love it. Maybe thats why other manufacturers have used it for years???? That along with all the other changes the MoCo made to their bikes this model year, I was really happy to see them land right in the middle of the 1990's!!!
