Been riding off road since I was 5 and had a few *** 80's road bikes. Picked up a 2011 Electra Glide and this looks like a great place to learn.

Congrats! I took the same path just a few years ago. I took a rider safety course at the local community college, money/time well spent. There is also a thread listing dos and don't/oops; like using the front brake while making a slow-tight turn at a gas station and having the front wheel lock-up and almost tipping the bike over (bicept and forearm was sore for most of the season). Hope you enjoy your ride and have many miles of fun!
