I am impressed! Page 34 of the new Hogtales mag. This guy has 260,000 miles out of a stock Evo Ultra with the virgin bottom end. First belt change at 243,000 and new lifters at 140,000. Now thats what I call reliability. I hope my TC88 last that long!

Read that article too. I believe the key is that the engine is basically stock. His riding style probably helps as well. It's not unheard of to achieve these numbers.

This first picture is of a guy from Oconto, WI. Somewhere near this picture I read he had around 460,000 miles on his HD. As you can see he would pull his boat with it to Canada.



This next one explain it all.



Here's the seat from that bike.



I'll never understand why people think HDs aren't reliable. One hold the world record for mileage, for cryin out loud!

I don't know if it's the same bike as mentioned in the picture above but I saw David Zien's bike (photo below) at my local dealer. Looked very used.
