Looking for best exhaust and intake for 2012 street glide
I would suggest, do your home work. Many good combo's to choose from. My streetglide is an 08, 96". I chose the V&H propipe and the K&N air kit. Very happy. True duels or a 2-1? Performance, sound and looks. How you put those in order will influence your choice. Enjoy your bike...

more HP for your money !

Looking for best exhaust and intake for 2012 street glide
All the pipes mentioned are boutique junk !:dh:

RB Racing's 2-1 LSR PRO STOCK SPYDER will gain you about 12 hp more then any pipe sold over the counter as a bolt on @gree:

Now if you want Power & want to be heard...go for the RB Racing 2-1 PRO STOCK System LSR stands for land speed record and there the guys who set the records! :woohoo:

Read there website on what they say about Supertrapp :redrolf: Plus LQQK what they designed for sealing the pipes to the heads ! They use machined aluminum gaskets to get rid of the " junk " mesh squish stuff HD came up with

There dyno is the Bonniville Salt Flats

Anybody can make exhaust systems ! on that 2012 SG you have a 103 cu in over heating smog pump lose the cat converter and let that motor breath and it will run a hell of a lot cooler:cya:

Thunderheader exhaust!!!!!! makes good power and THE BEST sounding exhaust on a bagger. Easy to tune a bike with these as well. If you heard them in person, you would be sold! Just my own opinion. I am running the Vance & Hines Power Duals head pipes with Thunderheader slipons on my 09 StreetGlide. My buddy just put Thunderheaders on his 09 Police bike with a 103" and it sounds good.

LSR has a good reputation but their pipes are known to be very loud from the tuner's here on the V-Twin forum. And very expensive because they are custom built to the application. You get what you pay for some of the time, but other times not so much.

Yep, R&B racing makes fun of the disc type pipes that continually make more power under the curve than their own, if you want peak numbers, lots of noise and have lots of money to throw away to guys with a severely bad attitude then by all means go RB

What Might be the best for one might not be the best for others.
Type of riding in town, bar hop,Cruise a bit of definition would help with a more accurate opinion.
What RPM do you hang around most during an average ride?
Even a Pipe and air intake with right side of the graph only in mind will net a variety of options.

I have a fuel moto 2 into 1 into 2 header pipe then 4inch Rineharts with a R&R AC and a premapped PC5. I know a 2 into 1 has better HP/Torque, but I like the look of the true Dual exhaust. Have no HP/TQ numbers yet. Runs well the way it is premapped I get a little pop on decel so do need a professional tune maybe this summer.

D&D FatCat seems to perform well for me. I have never heard of the RB racing exhaust. Sounds interesting. But boutique junk? D&D makes some nice exhaust systems if you ask me.
@gree: I have had BOTH,RB Prostock was cool,VERY LOUD,the heat shields were kinda cheesy....The D&D Fatcat was my favorite choice for a 2-1 on my Fatboy.

All the 2 into 1 are good for anything up to about a 113ci motor imo. I ran a pro pipe on my 117. The torque was up there but the hp suffered some. I am running a rb racing black hole exhaust on my 126 with 2" head pipes and i like it alot and the way it sounds i'm sure it goes faster lol. Seriously though look around for a 2-1 that looks and sounds good to you. Most riders have there favorite pipe and swear by them. Take your time...ask the guys that tune the bikes. They've seen lots of pipes on the dyno. Everybody says there pipes the best.

I'm giving up the FXDC and pulling the trigger on either a '12 or '13 (once I see the colors) SG. What I know for certain is the 1st changes I'm making are the Sundowner seat, AN Big Sucker, new pipes and TTS. Where I'm struggling is the pipes. I really love the look of the V&H Big Radius 2-2 and wondering if anyone has any experience with them on a SG? I know all the pros and cons associated with the 2-1's, true duals etc... but really like the look of the BR 2-2s and with the right tune I shouldn't be sacrificing alot.

Thoughts/opinions?
