Going home from work last week and when I got about 1 mi. down the road I stopped at a stop sign. When I pulled away the rear tire slipped a bit(?) When I looked in the mirror there was a large puddle on the ground. WTF? Looked down on the left side and gas (a lot of it) was squirting on to the rear cylinder. Luckily it wasn't hot enough to ignite. The hose from the fuel tank actually split open. No rubs or signs of why it failed that I could see. It was not at one of the clamps but pretty much in the middle. I pictured myself going up in flames!

Hey you got lucky...buy a lottery ticket!

Anyway, after you replace the fuel line I would check the fuel pressure.
You may have more than you need.

If you do, I would suspect the pressure regulator in the tank.
