1. Forged or cast?
2. Trued and Balanced?

I thought all flywheels have a production line true and balance. Did they pay more attention to details in 2002? Don't know. They are hot forged and I specifically searched for a 2002 when I bought my last bike wanting one with the "last of the good cranks" Mine had less than .001 runout.

Bought a 2002 because there were Timken bearings in the case.

I later heard that the flywheels in 2002 were forged, balanced and trued.

However the latter was just somewhat of a rumor and I was wondering if it was true.
