I'm in need of some help in deciding how to put together a 1200 conversion. I ride a 99 883C that has SE slip-ons, SE air filter, and new jets with a yost power tube. I have an appointment this Thursday with the head tech at my dealership to decide what package to go with and order the parts for the conversion. He will be doing the work as I'm not too good with a wrench. I'm hoping to get noticeable improvement in roll-on power and off the line speed, but I don't want to spend over $1,000.00. Basically, I want to be able to keep up with my friends on their BT's. My ideas right now are as follows: keep the original heads, order new cylinders, and order wiseco reversed dome pistons. I'm not sure about cams, ignition, different exhaust, or anything else. The dealership where I'm going has a machine shop, so they can bore my cylinders out if I decided to go that way rather than buying new.
Comments and advice on a decent conversion package are greatly appreciated.

I think Harley has a compete conversion kit. I believe it uses stock heads, new jugs and new pistons etc. . The last time I checked the kit was about $500. I have not looked lately, I am planning to convert mine this winter. Good luck,
