That may be the problem...your stopping and so your butt thinks everytime it complains..it should get a break. ignore it for 150 miles and it will start to get the picture who's in charge and quiet down!
Or you could eat more gassy food...that way for each methane explosion you'll raise off the seat slightly and your behind will get a break! LOL!

I have the same issues on my 08. Tried a Mustang and got a few mile further. Tried modifying the stock seat and got a few more miles down the road. Now I'm getting a Saddlemen Road Sofa. Looks similar in size as my old HD Road Zep so I hope this works.

I have no issues with the stock seat on mine what so ever but also don't ride more than 200 miles in a day. Each of us has our own riding style, height, weight etc... so asking others won't get you what you need it'll only get you what they needed. If you go to a rally stop in and see the manufacturers, spend a little time with each and buy what's right for you, that way you won't bounce from seat to seat making a couple of expensive mistakes that don't work for you but did for someone else.

Did some 6500+ miles in 3 weeks on our annual AARP ride up thru New England and Canada this year with the stock seat on my '08 Ultra without any problems. Like wtcardr said "......best stock Harley seat I ever had.....".

I agree..!!

Give them stock seats some milage and they will not be good anymore . They are the best factore, still a crap seat for most after some wear. Lite wieghts may like it better. I have had a russel and diamond in the past but if your a eastcoaster it takes to long to get your set out and back and the price is high. Diamond just plane sucks unless your 6=4 ,This guy can onlt build for tall people in my eyes. I will stay with saddleman.

I've heard of getting "uncomfortable" after a couple hundred miles...but not 50-60 miles?? Somethin' don't sound right.

I'm pleased with my Corbin seat...you might look into one of those.

Good Luck....

I will be looking for a new seat next year. I have a little over 5k on the bike and am still not real happy with the seat. My last bike was a rigid frame with a king & queen on it and I am used to that laid back position when I ride distance. First step is new bars over the winter, then I might give Mean City a try, seems like there are a lot of very happy people who have tried them.

I put a sheepskin cover on my OE '03 Ultra. Helped with sitting more comfortably, and no more sweaty buns and nads even when leaving the scoot in direct sunlight on a 90* day. Plus it's warm in the winter. The MoFuCo used to offer them in black. Made by Mustang. I've had several people inquire what kind of seat it is, cuz the cover fits so well. They couldn't believe it was just a stock seat. Only drawback is that you gotta cover it when it rains.
