I was at a stop sign getting ready to go across bridge from Il to Missouri and noticed noise coming from engine and thought better get across to gas station and pull over well bike died half way across and was able to coast to gas station, trailered home and bike would start running on rear cylinder only, put in new plugs and noticed no fuel getting on plug, rear wet and front dry, check codes and got a P1353 no combustion in from cylinder (no $hit) well anywho does any one have an idy what might be going on, got good compression in both cylinders and fire but no fuel to front, motor sounded like something was coming apart before it happened, but when I start the bike on just rear I do not hear the noise I did before it died.. Good thing it didn't happen in Milwaukee week before last..

sounds like it's stuck in parade mode. I may have the terminology wrong but it's a feature when the engine gets to a certain temp it only runs on the rear cylinder. I have an 08 FLHX and had them do an update to my ECM due to a high idle problem in stock program. before the update ,I don't remember how many times, but there's a way to turn the ignition on and off a number of times to clear the high idle, maybe it'll work for parade mode as well but not sure. also check your plug under the seat going to ECM, mine was loose and would only idle.

You might also check the fuel line coming from the pump to the fuel pressure regulator, they do have a tendency to get splits in the line. This starves the engine from full fuel pressure causing similar problems.

There is a tool called a 'noid' light. It's an LED type thing that you plug into the injector wiring harness, then crank the bike (like you're checking for spark). If it flashes you have current and ground to the injector. Do check for broken wires inside the insulation near the injector (wiggle while cranking).
These are available in auto parts stores, and I THINK there are only 2 types.

Trouble shooted injectors and they were working, was getting gas in rear bun no gas in front, swapped injectors and same issue, Well here is why I had compression and no gas to front cyl. to me this is a manufacure's screw up and the bike has just over 12,000 miles,Never had the cam cover off this bike.. so think it would be possible to get harley to foot the bill? I would like everything replaced due to metal, cams, bearings, oil pump lifters, pushrods..
Does anyone know who I can call about this matter? the bike is out of warrenty But only has 12,00mi.
Here are pics of what happened..

Is the sprocket just pressed on? It seems there would be more than just a press fit. Not that the sky is falling, but would it be wise to have someone spot weld that portion when someone installs any HD brand cams?
