08 FXD no spark HELP!!!

1154 Views 8 Replies 5 Participants Last post by  Dstephens
Bike died on the highway, the lights working, all power to everything. However… I’m not getting spark at the plugs. Bike will turn over, but will not start. I have so far replaced: spark plugs/wires, coil, starter relay, and the crank shaft sensor. I am getting error codes on my thundermax of lean cylinders (both). Which I expected due to just putting on a 2into1 from drag pipes. I did program the thundermax correctly and have it on auto tuner. Has anyone ran into the same problem?

Maybe try unplugging the thundermax and plugging the stock ecm and see if she fires. I'm sure someone with more knowledge than me will chime in. Hopefully you get it sorted out.

Drag pipes will run leaner than any 2in 1
Lean condition will not cause loss of spark.

Check the center terminal of the 3 wire plug at the coil for 12v +, with the key on and kill switch in the run position.. this will determine if power is present at the coil..

I have the four wire plug, which one should I check?
If I didn't know, I would check all 4. At least one has to have battery voltage.
Look what I found.

Y/GN is the power wire. The 4th wire is Ion Sense.

Shiite, If it's that easy, I might even go looking for my own.

Thanks bud! I’m following wires now. No power to Y/GN wires.
