The 06 carbed manifolds are a different shape(more of a true vee ie the runners are more defined for each cylinder) then the previous ones and I was wondering would they benifit a mild build 95? Ie mild head work and andrews 26 cams. thanks jeff

the 06 heads have been redesigned and the ports have been moved away from the carb or throttle body. I have the earley style heads and bought the most resent SE large bore throttle body and this is quite noticeable change in position. get a set of intake flanges for the 06 part number 26993-06 and place them over the intake port on your earlier head you will see just how much the port opening has been moved. If you do not mind doing some mild porting on your heads you might find some aditional flow into the heads and the power to go with it.

I ended up ordering a new style manifold (and flanges) and had GMR do some mild head work on some 06 heads. Hopefully I will get good results for little $ spent.
