They are 4.5 inches inches wide I believe. I'm baseing this on the fact that the new Wideglide comes with a 160 tire and they have a 180 "kit" for it. My Deuce came with a 160 and it has a 17x4.5 wheel on it. You are limited to the Screamin Eagle 180 for it though, as most 180's are for 18x5.5 inch wheels. The new softails with the 200's are 17x 6 inches wide.

Thanks for the info!
As I'm not thinking of going to 180, 160 will do fine for me
and since the "old" 16 inch rim is 3.0 wide a 3.5 or 4.0 should do it I guess..
what I'm after is the lower rubber profile which don't flex as much
in the fast and narrow corners :D

Maybe 18" is the way to go, totally different look though.
and I'm not sure I like it,
and it definitally will put more wear on the (longer) laced spokes
any thoughts or real life experience concerning this, someone ???
Bike will be around 100tq & 100hp with an slightly insane driver.
