Well those pics are good. The tank looks excellent did you do your own paint ?

Post up some more as you go along with a brief description for each.

Are you putting a big bore jug kit in or just a straight rebuild ?

Are you sending the crank off to a place like Revolution Performance of just buying a new HD one etc.

Also be interested in any chassis items that you might be replacing like swing arm bushes or stem bearings etc.

More pics to come.My bigbore kit from AMS came friday.I'm waiting for darkhorsed crank.
The paint was done by Bourne Stage Rods and Customs. It has some cool Von Dutch pin stripping I'll show later.
The chassi is Racetech emulators in the forks and 418 progressive shocks and floating rotors.Inthe next year Iwould like to find some real magnesium wheels and upgrade the brakes somemore.

Ah yes I've read about AMS, they have some excellent boring technics and kits. Darkhorse also has been around for good while and does very good work.

Looking forward to seeing this build go along. Take your time.

Gee this isn't what I wanted to hear.Where is a moderator when you need one.
Hmmm not sure if you were talking about my post but maybe it sounded different than what I meant. I am looking forward to this build since I ride an 07 Dyna and always like to see different stuff done to them.

When I said take your time, I meant it in a good way, as enjoy the work and don't get too rushed with it. I recently pulled the heads on my old Chevy Truck for a valve job. It took me forever seemingly to finish it. But I cleaned, chased and tapped every thread, wire brushed and painted every old rusty part before I put it all back together. Kinda neat changing a normal repair into a restore job also.

Not too functional if that's your only ride though. My wife got tired of me using her Trailblazer to go get parts.

Sorry R.W.B. someone posted a negative post about my crankwork.I think the moderators pulled it or he did.I called John at Darkhorse and he explained the situation and all is well.It will be about a week for the assembly to be complete.I am polishing aluminum and have decided to do my inner primary. So I have my work cut out for me.I'll try to learn how to post pic better.

Good pics reload. You may just be trying to keep your page space short, but just in case you might not know. You can have your pics come up "on" the forum (instead of a link) by inserting the link with the IMAGE icon listed on your menu.

Like this (I just copied the link off your previous post)
