No need to change front ends. He can just plug the air fitting holes in the caps or simply run it without any air , and put the dampener guts in the left leg.
05 Road King Front end on a 99 RK
I have a friend who has his eye on a 99 Road king and he loves the bike but he doesn't like the front air shocks and prefers the later model front ends. Does anyone know if the later front forks will fit on a 99 RK ?

Thanks for the info but would that be the same as a new models suspension? He's rented quite a few late model RK's and loves the ride.
