Well, at 43,500 miles, the cam chain tensioners finally gave up. Luckily, just about a month ago, I had finished putting together all of the parts for the 95" build, so yesterday I dropped the bike off at the local indy for the build. When I get her back next week, the motor will be:

95" with SE Flattops
SBC Scottsman heads
.030 Cometic head gaskets, 9.8 to 1 compression
Andrews 37G cams
SE adjustable pushrods
Baisley spring

I am running a D&D Fatcat, and looking forward to the extra OOOMMMPPHHH in the motor.

How did you discover they were bad? By inspection, noise, or something else?
A sound, that once you hear it, you will not forget. I sure hope no real damage was done from the chunks that were probably knocked off!!! (Probably will need at least a new oil pump, what a stupid f'en design!!!)
