Reading this reminds me of an issue I had with the primary chain.
The bike acted like it had a drag on the motor... But it was inconsistent.

It turned out, my primary chain was too tight and wen everything heated up it got even tighter acting as a drag on the engine. I eventually found part of the teflon primary chain tension shoe wedged just in-between the dual front comp sprockets making setting the correct tension of the primary chain impossible.
Too tight.... to loose.... to tight ….too loose.

Pull that primary cover off, pull your spark plugs and turn your motor over watching that primary chain to see if it runs fairly smoothly.
My money is on your primary chain tension.

Problem handled, did the hydraulic tensioner upgrade, cam chain tensioner was all but gone, and the oil pump to crankcase oring was hard as a rock did the work this afternoon and now from first crank the oil light goes off, plenty of pressure no tick from the rockets and runs phenomenal. Thanks everyone for your help.
