So today I broke what I thought was the oil pressure switch on the front to the engine. Clymers states on page 103 that it’s the MAP sensor on carbureted models. I just need some assistance before I go buy the wrong part.
I believe the difference in the oil pressure senors is the one with the post is just for operating an oil light, the one you show on your bike is to operate a light and a gauge.
I would bet because yousr is a touring model the wiring is already installed from the factory you would just need to find it and install just the gauge because it was an available option. My bike is a softail and there was no option for it, my bike has the single post sensor.
Hey, OP. Are you sure you don't have an Electra Glide Classic? Not the standard. Standard uses the switch, like in Misters pic. Classic uses the sensor like you have.
