  1. Ever had to choose ???

    General Harley Talk
Bikes were part of the deal when I married my hubby, he's been riding ever since he could walk, if I accepted him then I accepted his bikes, simple as that. I even did one better and joined him!
  2. Camping vs. Motels

For me, when I go away on the bike it's a vacation. A vacation from work, from home, from cooking and cleaning, to me camping it not a vacation it's an inconvenience, un packing pitching the tent all of it for me is not very fun and I go away to have fun. All that said I don't really do any...

  5. wife riding all day!

    General Harley Talk
That's so excellent that your wife has others to ride with. When hubby can't ride I go out alone, which is fine sometimes, but it's nice to have company.

  7. Shovelhead reliability?

    Pre-Evolution Engines
That is one sweet ride! I say go for it. If you don't mind wrenching or want to learn, they are great. I may be a little prejudice since I run a 1979 - Shovels Rule!!! On the other hand if your not into wrenching, you may want to go with a TC or Evo.
  8. Ape hangers, what you got?

    General Harley Talk
Otterbob - Thank you very much! I have it all apart right now, we are re-painting it, I am also changing the exhaust. 2 inch drags are cool and sound great until your on the interstate for a while, then they are just obnoxious.
  9. Ape hangers, what you got?

    General Harley Talk
I love the look of drag bars, but they are just too uncomfortable, I have the mini apes on mine and love them. They are so comfy I can sit up nice a straight, my back never get sore between that and the Mustang sit I can ride all day with no problems.

  17. Question Re: Riding Etiquette. What pisses you off?

    General Harley Talk
We run S&S on all our bikes, Hubby prefers them and since he's the mechanic I don't have much say in the situation unless I want to pay someone to work on my bike, NOT.

  20. Question Re: Riding Etiquette. What pisses you off?

    General Harley Talk
Well maybe you could help us out then because my 79 and hubby's 50 both have to be reved when stopped at a light, what are we doing wrong? I've got drags on mine, S&S carb, not sure of the jets, but I do it is down jetted from the standard ones that were in it when we bought it.
